Shortpath Distillation Systems (KD Series)
Short path distillation gets its name from the distance in which the vapor stream is condensed. In this case, the evaporator wall generates the vapors as the feed moves by gravity, while being agitated and distributed evenly into what is known as a thin film, down the evaporator wall. The vapor stream travels a "short path" directly to the condenser which is located within the evaporator chamber. Since the vapor stream is immediately condensed, the short path distillation process precludes the vapor from forming vapor pressure. This allows ultimate pressures of 0.001 mbar to be attained. With greater vacuum, heat sensitive materials undergo purification at much lower temperatures preventing degradation. High vacuum also allows for very high ambient equivalent temperatures to be achieved allowing for the separation of molecules that would otherwise require tremendous temperatures. Short path distillation in a plant setting is a continuous process and Chemtech Services uses a roller design within the shortpath evaporator to create the rolled film or wiped film. Chemtech also has a line of bladed wipers that are use for highly viscous materials.
Decarboxylation Systems (DC Series)
Chemtech Services Decarboxylation system features a two vessels design. The intent is that one vessel will decarb while the other vessel will be used to feed material. To aid the decarboxylation process the system utilizes one agitator in each vessel, hot oil heating, and moderate vacuum. The vacuum system is protected by a cold trap with circulator.
Rolled Film Distillation Systems (RF Series)
Rolled Film Distillation Systems are a type of wiped film evaporation systems (WFE). Opposed to the short path evaporators they have an external condenser which offers a greater condensing area.
CTS Units are available in multi stage configurations and can be highly customized.
